Galvan Rush Light fly reels are a mid-priced reel with a state-of-the-art drag system. The Galvan Rush light fly reel series was designed with the budget-conscious angler in mind. It features the same incredibly smooth and durable thermoplastic drag system as the Torque, but with a more basic spool and frame design to keep costs down. The Galvan Rush light fly reel is also constructed with all of the quality that has been a hallmark of the Galvan tradition. I have owned Galvan Reels since the OB series. The Grip and Torque models are wonderful reels. The Rush Light has all the same attributes as the higher end models when it comes to drag and start up inertia. If you want a quality reel at a great price point then the Rush Light is your reel. Solid construction with a finish on the reel. I would recommend this reel. I have used mine for trout, steelhead, largemouth bass and light saltwater.
Perhaps a less glamorous reel compared to the Torque but every bit as good since it uses the same drag system. I have both the Torque and Rush and love them both, drag is so smooth with such a wide range of adjustment that saved me a lot of fish loss. Highly recommended! You won't regret it.
