I primarily wear these under neoprene socks as it slides in better than my wet foot would. If my food was 100% dry and slid into the neoprene "guide guard socks" these really wouldn't be needed. In terms of sizing these seem to run a little small. I have size 11.5 feet and the size XL are barely big enough.
I bought these for wet wading. They're comfortable while wading, they come off easily when done, and if you wrong them out, and spin them around a few times, they're usually dry by the I get home.
I purchased these wading socks to go with my new Simms Wading Boots.They worked very well and are the exact thickness I needed. I would recommend these.
