Built for the minimalist angler, the Nomad Native Net is the grab-and-go option that still fishes like a full-size platform. Lightweight and easy to carry, it attaches to the back of a vest or belt loop with the included lanyard, or pairs perfectly with a Confluence Net Release. The carbon fiber and fiberglass composite frame is waterproof and weatherproof, floats like a cork, and features a matte finish that keeps a low profile. It comes standard with a TPU net bag that’s lightweight, harder to break, and stretches farther before failing than comparable nets tested the same way.

I upgraded to the Nomad Native as I started catching larger fish that were too big for my previous net. This rubber bag can hold 20 inch trout, no problem. The net is the perfect width to hang from a vest while wading. The combination of weight, balance and RiverKoat grip feels great in hand. I also like that this composite material does not require the extra care that wooden nets may need. This is a high quality Fishpond product.
This is a really nice net, it is light and easy to carry around. It just depends on the fish you are going after. I am a guide in Park City, UT and feel like I am bringing a knife to a gun fight when trying to land a spastic 16' brown trout. If you are primarily catching 12' fish this is a great net. If you are going to be consistently catching bigger fish than 12' go for the emerger or mid length.
