The LIFT is built on the shoulders of our extremely popular ECHO Base series with updated actions to suit a wider range of casting styles. 

While the original ECHO BASE family of rods were designed with the new fly angler in mind, they have helped anglers of all skill level fish effectively. It is often easier to avoid casting errors, tailing loops, by using rod that has more power or stiffness. The paradox is that a stiffer rod tends to flex less during the cast which makes it harder to feel the rod respond to the movements of your hand. This stiffness can hinder one’s quest to become a better caster. BASE rods have had a loyal following and are perhaps our best-selling rods of all time, so why change something if it aint broke? We listened to our customers who “love the rod” but felt they had to put a heavier line on the rod to feel it load. The BASE LIFT is a new family of rods based on the original BASE series that are easier to cast with more modest power levels than their predecessors.  Because of some small tweaks to the family, they have a lighter feel and with the new handle shapes will help every angler improve their casting and have more fun fishing. Every LIFT sits right in the middle of the line power weight range with crisp actions and slick new gloss marine green blank color.  We made a BETTER BASE.
