Echo Carbon XL Fly Rods
New for 2016, these Echo Carbon XL Fly Rods are beauty on a budget. The Carbon XL (X-tra Light), is a true all-around performer that looks just as sweet as it casts. Tim designed these sticks to feel light in the hand, with actions made to match a wide range of casting styles and fishing situations. Bass or browns, bluegill or brookies, we made it easy to find a fit that "feels just right".
When Tim set out to create the next generation of affordable trout rods he had no idea they were going to turn out so darn good looking. Getting the action and power correct was his main goal. Tim dedicated a full year of product development to make sure every model in the ECHO Carbon family has a smooth action and is easy to cast. All but a few of these rods have smooth Medium Fast actions and possess power that would be considered close to "average or normal" for each line rating. So you get no surprises when choosing an ECHO CARBON rod. "Not too stiff, not too soft, juuuuuuuust right!!!" With a matte brown finish and a custom Rajeff Sports / ECHO man reel seat the ECHO CARBON rods stand out as the best looking rod under $200 that has ever been made.

I wanted a shorter and lighter rod for the small creeks and streams that I typically fish. This echo fit the bill perfectly and is an incredible value. It makes fighting the smallest fish exciting but can also handle the occasional larger fish. This rod has become my go-to.
I bought this to use rod on mountain streams for small trout fishing. I wanted a 7' 6' rod with medium action, good materials and craftsmanship. This rod is nothing fancy but perfect for what I use it for.
Purchased a 4wt 9ft rod, turned out to be a great little rod good power, roll cast good but does not like heavier nymphs, over all a fun rod
I've used these rods in my boat for my clients for the last year and have no complaints. Smooth, easy casting, and durable
