I target large great lakes carp and this rod is extremely useful for soft presentations and chucking large flies but also has surprisingly fast action for glass and serious back bone with the full wells grip fighting butt. I use a 6 weight and have no problem handling fish over 20 lbs, you can feel everything down into the butt of the rod, and the flexibility eases tippet tension which makes a noticeable difference in landing fish. It's one of my favorite rods to fish, the blue blank looks great, great price, great warranty, and I will be testing this out on bonefish. A true delight to have in the arsenal.
